We need your help! February is a testing month, and that means Mr. Catchings and Ms. A will be on hiatus from lunchroom duty to help administer tests. Four volunteers are needed to help in the lunchroom each day. 

The Minneapolis Schools launched a new website for the New Middle School at Ramsey.  Burroughs parents are encouraged to visit the site and complete the community survey.

This year’s Read-a-thon commences with the “Treasures to be Shared” Book Donation and Swap.

Come to the PTA meeting on Tuesday, January 17 at 6:30 pm in the Burroughs auditorium to hear more about plans for the new middle school.

The Read-a-thon prize team is looking for businesses that would like to contribute to the prize packages for this year.

The annual Burroughs 5th Grade Spelling Bee will be held on Thursday, January 19 in the Burroughs auditorium at 2 pm.

The Burroughs 2nd grade physical education classes are planning a field trip to Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. We will be going ice fishing on Friday, February 10, 2012. This Ice Fishing trip will be a walking trip during the school day (9:15AM-2:45PM). The entire experience will last for approximately 1hour and 30 minutes for each 2nd grade class.

The Burroughs 4th and 5th grade physical education classes are planning a field trip to Three Rivers Park District/Hyland Ski Area in Bloomington. We will be going downhill snow skiing on Friday, January 13, 2012. This downhill ski trip will be for an entire school day (9:10AM-3:40PM).  PDF of permission slip attached.
