Dear Burroughs’ Parents & Friends: Last fall we started spreading the word that our school was going to begin collecting hair donations for children that have unfortunately lost their hair to disease. You may have heard your child talking about donating hair. Thank you for your consideration of your child’s donation of hair to Children with Hair loss. Children with Hair loss is a non-profit organization located in Michigan. They have been making hairpieces for children since 2008. On their website they say, “At Children with Hair loss, we provide free hair replacements with no obligation, to children who have lost their hair to cancer treatment, any form of Alopecia, Trichotillomania or other rare disorders. In 2009, we provided over 270 free hair replacements and have provided over 190 in 2010.” You can read more at www.childrenwithhairloss.com If you would like your child to participate in this donation opportunity, please sign and return the form listed below. All hair will be collected at school and donated in a large group to this organization. Families don’t have to worry about making the donation themselves. For questions please and permission form please email: Jessica.Fischer@mpls.k12.mn.us
