Claim Lost Items by Feb. 21
Parent-teacher conferences are the perfect time to check the Burroughs Lost & Found area for jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, or shoes. We might just have your missing items. Lost & Found items clearly labeled with a first and last name are given to the student's teacher. All remaining unclaimed and unlabeled items will be collected and donated on Tuesday, February 21.

The Read-a-Thon is in Full Swing!
Tuesday, February 21, 2017 8:10 AM

Burroughs students have one more week to track those reading minutes! After February 28, teachers will send home information on how many in-class minutes were read. Students can add that number to their tally sheets and total their minutes for the month. Students should then collect their pledges before the March 3 deadline. Families with multiple students should collect pledge payments separately so each student's packet contains only their pledge money.

This week (through February 27) is Camp Read-Away in the Media Center. Students visiting the Media Center may bring a small stuffed animal (one that fits in their backpack), a flashlight, and a favorite book so they can read inside tents at the Media Center campsite! Parents are welcome to come read with their students as well.

See the Burroughs website for all Read-a-Thon information.
