Thank you for visiting my webpage!  I am very proud to be a part of the special education team at Burroughs Community School and enjoy collaborating with the teachers and families I work with.  This is my seventh year at Burroughs.  I spent my first five years as a special education teacher in the autism program at Burroughs and have now changed roles to be a building special education resource teacher, still serving many students with autism, but also students with a varierty of special needs.

This is my eleventh year teaching special education and my eighth year teaching in Minneapolis Public Schools.  Before teaching in Minneapolis, I was a teacher at Fraser School in Richfield, MN.   I received my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Iowa State Universtiy and am finishing my Masters Degree in Developmental Disabilities K-12 from the University of St. Thomas.  I also just received my autism spectrum disorders teaching license last year. I enjoy being an advocate for students with special needs and educating families, teachers and students on the variety of ways we learn and grow as individuals.

My husband, Rusty and I were married in the winter of 2009 and currently live with our three daughters (Josie, Eleanor and Annabelle) in St. Louis Park, MN.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or inquiries!
