Bags for Breakfast
Monday, January 14, 2013 9:10 AM

Students from Mrs. McGreevy’s 5th grade classroom and Mrs. Butchert’s 2nd grade classroom, along with help from parents, packed and delivered “Bags for Breakfast” for the Ronald McDonald House on Thursday, December 20. Prior to this day, students brought in breakfast items for the bags such as granola bars, fruit cups and drink boxes. Fifth-grade students were paired with second-graders to decorate and pack the “to go” bags which make it easy for parents and families with hospitalized children to have breakfast on the go.

In addition, students watched a short film about the Ronald McDonald house narrated, of course, by Ronald himself. Together, the students decorated and donated 210 bags along with a few extra items. This enjoyable service project proved to be a huge success and learning opportunity.
