Be Heard at the Community Traffic Safety Meeting This Thursday
Tuesday, September 15, 2015 8:50 AM

City and county representatives will listen to parent concerns about traffic safety around Burroughs.

Burroughs parents want to voice concerns about traffic safety in front of Burroughs Community School. Because 50th Street is county-owned between Lyndale and France Avenues, discussions with the city have not yielded many results. This is why the Lynnhurst Neighborhood Association is bringing leaders from both the city and county governments together to hear concerns.

Those interested in initiating a change should attend a meeting on Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 pm at the Lynnhurst Community Center. County Commissioner Green, Council Member Palmisano, and respective staff will be present to discuss the issue and consider solutions to the traffic situation.

It is important to have a big turnout at Thursday's meeting to let our representatives know that this is a widespread issue and not a concern to only a few. If you cannot attend the meeting but would like to offer your support, please consider sending in a statement to info@lynnhurst.org. If you have any questions, please email Jessica Reinhardt, fellow parent and Lynnhurst president, or call her at (612) 770-0545.
