Congratulations to Burroughs Destination Imagination Teams!

On March 5, five teams of Burroughs students competed at the North Regional Destination Imagination Tournament. The 5th grade team called "The B.O.S.S." won 1st place to become the 2016 Regional Champions in their category. They received a perfect 400 out of 400 possible points, and were also awarded the prestigious DaVinci Award for Creativity. They will now advance to the State Tournament in April. The team includes: Avery R., Ellery D., Erik W., Marcus W., Nora S., Reece W. and Xander K..

Destination Imagination is an international program whose purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Each year, teams compete within one of six challenge categories. Each challenge is open-ended and enables students to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation. Academic tournaments take place around the world where teams have the opportunity to present their solutions to trained appraisers.
