Tuesday, September 25, 2018 9:55 AM

Time to get excited about books! The Annual Fall Book Fair is coming up, Saturday, October 6, from 11 am to 2 pm in the gym. Browse books, eat lunch, get a flu shot, and support Burroughs!

Details
As always, there will be a great selection of books for all ages, story times with special guest readers, spirit wear available for purchase, and the Flu Shot Clinic. The Book Fair Café will be serving pizza, hot dogs, pie, and fruit. Meals will be available for $5 (cash or check only). The Book Fair will also be open for half an hour before and after school on Thursday, October 4, and Friday, October 5. Students can bring money to buy books when their class visits the book fair during the school day on Thursday or Friday.

Flu Shot Clinic

Burroughs will be hosting a flu shot clinic for Burroughs students, families, and staff during the Scholastic Book Fair in the auditorium. The Minnesota Visiting Nurses Association will be providing the flu shots. The nasal spray will be offered this year. Bring your insurance card if you have one. If your child does not have insurance, the flu vaccine will be provided at no cost. Get your whole family immunized before or after visiting the book fair. Wear a shirt that allows easy access to your upper arm. It's all very simple and convenient. If you would like to fill out the form ahead of time, click here and bring the completed form on October 6. Please call the Health Office with any questions: (612) 668-3288.
