The most important homework in kindergarten is reading and talking each night!

We highly suggest reading for 20 minutes with your child each night.

We send home "Just Right Book Bags" which contain a book at the student's current reading level.  Students can get a new book every day and read it at home with parents.  Return it daily to get a new book. I suggest having students read the pictures as many words as they can, find sight words, and talk about the story with parents. There can be a wide range of difficulty with text, so it's important to have kids try their best, but to also assist them to avoid frustration.
