Important Read-a-Thon Updates!
Tuesday, February 27, 2018 10:00 AM

Tomorrow is the last day to read!  Congratulations to all the students for their hard work.  Did they read 2,000,000 minutes?  It is time to get down to the business of finding out!

Every student must take these steps between now and March 2:

1.    After February 28, tally all the minutes read from Feb 1-28

2.    Once your classroom teacher communicates the in-class minutes earned, students should add this number in the space provided on the tally sheet and total their minutes read for the month.  Parents must sign the student's tally sheets.

3.    Collect all pledge money that is not collected via GiveMN.org.  Please collect separate checks for each student in your family.

4.    Kindergartners who read 2500 minutes or more and 1st through 5th graders who read 3500 minutes or more will receive a Read-a-Thon t-shirt.  If your child read enough minutes to earn a t-shirt, please remember to fill in their shirt size on the tally form.

5.    Using the envelope provided in the Read-a-Thon packet, collect the signed tally form, the pledge form, and all pledge money collected.  Turn this into the student's classroom teacher by Friday, March 2.  If your child has outstanding pledges that cannot be collected by March 2, funds can be turned in after Friday at the Burroughs office. Late funds will be applied to the participant's tally, if possible.

Every student must turn in a tally sheet even if they did not fundraise.  100% participation in reading is required for a class to participate in the Jonny Pop party in March.
