Due to a great deal of interest in “Rope Power”, we will be selling jump ropes on Monday, December 15th through Friday, December 19th (hallway outside gym AM and PM). Proceeds will be used to purchase new jump ropes and other gym equipment. An order form is also available for download.
Rope Power is an organized systematic approach to teaching rope jumping. This is a citywide activity which culminates with a performance at Burroughs Community School and a performance (“Rope Power Night”) at Washburn High School in March. By students having their own rope, it enables them to have more practice time.
Rope jumping is a beneficial way to increasing cardiovascular fitness and is a fun activity for the whole family. Nifty and affordable gift ideas for birthdays and the holidays. Some families are decorating their christmas tree with red and white jump ropes.
