Jump Rope Sales
Tuesday, December 15, 2015 8:50 AM

Due to a great deal of interest in the Rope Power program, we will be selling jump ropes through Friday, December 18, in the hallway outside the gym, before and after school. Proceeds will be used to purchase new jump ropes and other gym equipment. An order form is also available for download.

Rope Power is an organized systematic approach to teaching rope jumping. This is a citywide activity that culminates with a performance at Burroughs Community School and Rope Power Night at Washburn High School in March. Students who have their own rope are able to have more practice time.

Rope jumping is a beneficial way to increase cardiovascular fitness, and it's a fun activity for the whole family. Jump ropes are a nifty and affordable gift idea for birthdays and the holidays. Some families are even decorating their Christmas tree with red-and-white jump ropes.
