Minneapolis Kids Undergoing Accreditation
Tuesday, November 17, 2015 8:55 AM

Get involved by filling out parent survey, joining stakeholder team.

Burroughs Minneapolis Kids has begun an Accreditation process by participating in the Minnesota Afterschool Accreditation Program (MAAP). This was a project made available to our program by the Minnesota School-Age Care Alliance (MnSACA).

Through accreditation, the program will be looking for specific program improvements based on researched-based best practices in the field of School Age Care.

What is parents' role?
If you have a child who participates in Minneapolis Kids at Burroughs, they need to hear from you. Parent and child feedback is a crucial part of this process; it helps us identify where the program needs growth and improvement.

Over the next few weeks, parents and children will be asked to fill out a survey. In addition, parents may join a stakeholder team--a group of parents, children, staff, teachers and administrators all invested in supporting this process. This group only meets a few times over the year.
