Note from the Principal

Dear Families,

February is off to a fast and furious start! We had fun last week with the Read-a-Thon opening ceremony, fourth graders camping at Deep Portage, and second graders going ice fishing. It is events like these that get us through the doldrums of a Minnesota winter.

Since kicking off the Read-a-Thon, I have seen many students reading, heard students excitedly talking about the number of minutes they have read, and greeted many parents who have come in to be guest readers in classrooms. It is going to be a great month of reading!

February is also Black History Month. Talk to your children about what they are learning and doing in their classrooms in celebration of this important part of our history. On February 13, we will celebrate National African-American Parent Involvement Day. See below for more details.

Please make sure to check out the announcements and important dates throughout the Bulletin. As always, feel free to reach out to me with any questions that may arise.

Sincerely,

Ana Bartl
Principal
