Note from the Principal
Tuesday, February 28, 2017 8:10 AM

Dear Families,

As we close out the month of February, I want to once again express my sincere gratitude for all that our families do to support our Burroughs community. Over and over again, I am awed by the spirit of participation and sharing that I see. The participation by families in our read-a-thon, the turnout of families for National African American Parent Involvement Day, the sign making event, the book contributions made via our ‘giving tree’ and the number of families who turned out for conferences are evidence of this. Thank you for sharing your time, energy, input, and resources to help make our school the wonderful place that it is!

As we enter March, we enter a challenging time of year for students and staff. Student energy is typically very high leading up to spring break. For staff budget discussions and planning for the next school year begin. There is much anticipation for all about the events to come in last few months of the school year. Consistency at home and school will support us all in channeling this high energy into productive learning.

Once again, thank you to all who took the time to take the survey we sent out a couple of weeks ago. We value your input and your feedback will help to guide our decision making as we begin to plan for next school year.

Please make sure to check out the announcements and important dates below. As always, feel free to reach out to me with any questions that may arise.

Sincerely,

Ana Bartl
Principal
