Note from the Principal

Dear Families,

To begin, I'd like to thank the PTA and its many committees for all of the support they provide us. Last week, the spirit wear and Box Tops committees were present at our kindergarten registration night, and on Thursday, the landscape committee coordinated our spring campus cleanup. It was a beautiful day for our classrooms to be outside and help to spruce up our grounds. The campus looks great! So much of what we do here at Burroughs could not be accomplished without the support and dedication of our PTA. Thank you!

The excitement and bustle of the end of the school year is in full swing. It was great to see so many of you at the band and orchestra concert last week as well as at the third grade music concert and kindergarten registration. We look forward to seeing many of you and more this week at our all school picnic, and at our ceremony on Friday to dedicate our auditorium to Mr. Cadotte. These next few weeks are full of wonderful opportunities to gather and celebrate the end of another school year.

Since last week, many of you have reached out to me with questions about some of the changes we are making for next school year. I've enjoyed discussing with you as you share your thoughts and questions. Please continue to reach out to me as things come up. As educators and learners we are constantly learning and thinking about ways to apply our learning to improve upon the experiences we provide for our students. At Burroughs, this is a continuous process of planning and looking at new opportunities to leverage our resources in ways that will best meet the needs of our students and ensure a rigorous and safe learning environment for all.

As always, feel free to reach out to me with any questions that may arise and I look forward to seeing many families at the events of the upcoming weeks.

Sincerely,
Ana Bartl
Principal
