Note from the Principal

Dear Families,

Welcome to the second quarter of the school year! I hope you all enjoyed the weekend. It seems as though winter wants to get a head start this year. Quarter one was a great start to the year and we will work to continue the enthusiasm and build on the relationships that have been established to leverage and enrich student learning throughout the rest of the school year.

This is another busy week with school tours now underway and our annual 'Fall for Burroughs' Auction fundraiser coming up on Friday. Our school tours will happen weekly and will continue through January. If you know families who will have incoming kindergarteners and are looking for a great school, please encourage them to schedule a tour. Thank you to all of the volunteers who are helping with the tours and the 2017-18 Visit Our Schools campaign!

We hope to see many families on Friday at the Minneapolis Event Centers for the auction. This event is not only an important fundraiser to support our school but also a wonderful opportunity for our adult community to get to know one another and socialize for a great cause that directly supports the students of Burroughs.

Remember, report cards will be sent home with students the week of November 13. Once you receive report cards, if you have questions please reach out to your child's teacher.

Have a wonderful week and please feel free to reach out with any questions that may arise.

Sincerely,
Principal
