Note from the Principal
Tuesday, February 20, 2018 10:55 AM

Dear Families,

As many of you now know, my family and I are home from our adoption journey and loving the adjustment to being a family of three! It has been wonderful to see many of you over the past few weeks and have the opportunity to introduce you to my son, Harrison. I want to sincerely thank everyone for the patience, support, and well wishes since my leave began and to give a special shout out to Assistant Principal Kelly Woods and Interim Principal Jackie Hanson. Their leadership in my absence has been top notch. Knowing that our community was in good hands has allowed me to thoroughly enjoy the experience of being a new mother. Thank you Ms. Woods and Mrs. Hanson!

February continues to be an exciting and eventful month. Thank you to all the families who joined us last Monday as we celebrated National African American Family Involvement Day and to all the families who participated in winter conferences. In addition, February is Black History Month and the Read-a-Thon is in full swing. These are great opportunities to talk with your children about what they are learning and reading about in school. Classrooms are engaged in a variety of activities highlighting both African American history and reading.

Make sure to check out the Announcements and Instructional Insights sections below. As always, feel free to reach out with any questions that may arise.

Sincerely,

Ana Bartl
