Note from the Principal
Tuesday, May 08, 2018 10:10 AM

Dear Families,

This last month of the school year promises to be a whirlwind! It was wonderful to see so many of you last week at the band and orchestra concert, the Burroughs Families for Equity and Justice meeting, and the Mindfulness Night! The fourth and fifth graders did a fantastic job sharing their music with us, and we are so grateful for the collaboration we have with Mount Olivet that allows us to offer band and orchestra for our students!

This is another week full of exciting events, including the Spring Book Fair, National Bike and Walk to School Day, Kindergarten Registration Night, and our annual All-School Picnic. In honor of Wellness Week and National Bike and Walk to School Day on Wednesday, we will have trivia each day with drawings for fun prizes. On Wednesday, we encourage all who are able to bike or walk to school.

This week is also National Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you to the families who expressed their gratitude for our amazing teachers by chalking the sidewalks at the main entrance. Our teachers work so hard to make Burroughs a place where our students feel welcome, safe, and engaged in learning. Please take time this week to let your child's teacher know how much they are appreciated.

As always, feel free to reach out to me with any questions that may arise.

Sincerely,
Ana Bartl
