Note from the Principal
Tuesday, November 06, 2018 10:15 AM

Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2nd Quarter of the school year! I hope your children all enjoyed another long weekend. Quarter 1 was a great start to the year, and we will work to continue the enthusiasm and build on the relationships that have been established to leverage and enrich student learning throughout the rest of the school year.

This is another busy week with Election Day today, school tour season beginning on Wednesday, and Coffee with the Principal and our annual Fall for Burroughs Auction fundraiser on Friday. Speaking of Election Day, this year, our Youth Voice Advisors, Ms. Alvarez and Ms. Weber, have coordinated 'Kids Vote' for our third, fourth, and fifth graders. This is an excellent program to help teach our students about the voting process.

We hope to see many families on Friday at the Minneapolis Event Centers for the auction. This event is not only an important fundraiser to support our school but also a wonderful opportunity for our adult community to get to know one another and socialize for a great cause that directly supports the students of Burroughs.

Remember, report cards will be sent home with students the week of November 19. Once you receive report cards, please reach out to your child's teacher if you have questions.

Have a wonderful week, and please feel free to reach out with any questions that may arise.

Sincerely,

Ana Bartl
Principal
