Burroughs Ukulele Groups: Start the year on a happy note! Registration for first-, second-, and third-grade students is open for the fall session of Beginning Uke Group and Intermediate Uke Group classes. Learn more and register here

Active Solutions: Keep your kids active all year long with new sessions of Active Solutions After-School Classes and Full-Day School-Year Camps that are open to any student from any school. They start soon, and there's still time to register. Visit the Active Solutions website to see a full list of offerings throughout the year and to register. There are also opportunities for older students, including Youth Enrichment and Leadership Mentoring Programs for middle-school and high-school students as well as bird clubs for both elementary and middle-school students. If you have any questions, please email Pete Hill or call/text him at (952) 212-7290or email Pat Caldwell or call/text him at (612) 802-7882. Parents and staff are always welcome to attend.

Chess Club: Is your student in first through fifth grade interested in learning or playing chess? Burroughs Chess Club will be meeting on Fridays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm once the weather gets colder, usually in November. A signup link will go out in the Bulletin sometime around the end of October, along with a link for volunteer signups, so please be on the lookout, as space is limited. There is no requirement that students or parent/grandparent volunteers know how to play chess, just a genuine interest in learning and playing, or supporting your student's interest. Chess Club usually meets into March, and may participate in one or more of the School District's Check It Out Chess Tournaments. Email Brian Elliott with questions.
