Thanks to All for a Successful Auction!

Wow!  What a night!

The 2017 Fall for Burroughs Auction was a HUGE success.  On Friday night, parents, teachers and staff came together to bid, play games, and dance the night away.  Great fun was had by all while raising money for the Burroughs Fund.

We exceeded our Fund-A-Need goal and raised $13,000 for new books to be added to our classroom libraries. The revenue generated from last night's auction is looking to make this year's auction another record-breaking fundraiser, beating last year's total of $77,000. Stay tuned for a final accounting at the next PTA meeting!

The auction continues to raise money throughout the school year selling tickets to Great Gatherings.  Great Gatherings are themed parties, grade-level events, and family activities where attendees purchase tickets to be a part of the fun! The hosts cover the costs and all ticket proceeds go directly to the Burroughs Fund. Check out the offerings at www.bidpal.net/fallforburroughs17
The PTA wishes to thank Catherine Lipinsky for her unwavering commitment to chairing the Fall for Burroughs Auction for over two years. Catherine has overseen a team of dozens of dedicated volunteers who put in thousands of volunteer hours throughout the year to ensure a fabulous event that's a key fundraiser for the Burroughs Fund. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to make this event a perennial success! We also welcome and thank Emily Peach for stepping into the auction 2018-19 chair position!

We would also like to thank the hundreds of parents, community members, teachers and staff for attending the auction and supporting Burroughs via the live auction, silent auction and Great Gatherings!

Remember...it's for the kids!
