Volunteers Needed for Minnesota Math Corps
Sunday, February 23, 2014 1:45 PM

More than 40 percent of Minnesota eighth graders are not proficient in math. In a world increasingly dependent on understanding math and science concepts, these students are facing a big challenge. With your help, we can ensure their success. The goal of Minnesota Math Corps is to ensure that Minnesota students are proficient in algebra by the end of eighth grade.

Minnesota Math Corps is looking for caring volunteers to practice math skills with struggling students. You will help them develop the confidence and skills that will set them on a path to success by eighth grade. You will receive training, build new skills of your own, and become a powerful presence that can make all the difference in the success of youth in your community.

Become a volunteer! Requirements: a love of math and a desire to work with youth. Math Corps volunteers must pass a background check to work with children. For more information, please email Rose Sybrant.
