2nd Graders Go Ice Fishing Feb. 23
Tuesday, February 20, 2018 9:55 AM

Now that we've shown Super Bowl visitors the best of the Bold North, it's time to show Burroughs second graders what it's like to be an outdoor enthusiast in Minnesota during the winter months. On Friday, February 23, second graders will bus to Lake Harriet for a Physical Education field trip where they will practice ice fishing in a heated tent for about an hour and a half. See the class schedule here.
Parent chaperones are needed to help bait hooks, manage the electronic fish finder equipment, and serve hot chocolate. Adults do not need a fishing license to participate. Please let classroom teachers know if you can help out.
Make sure your child dresses warmly for this event! For more information, or a copy of the permission slip, click here. If you have questions, please email the PE teachers, Pete Hill or Lowell Peterson.
