My name is Amy Walvatne and I am happy to be your child's 5th grade teacher this year!  5th grade is a very exciting and memorable time and I look forward to working with you and your child.  

A bit about me:  I earned by MA in education from the University of Minnesota.  I have been teaching in Minneapolis since 1997, and I have been lucky to have spent most of those years at Burroughs!   When I am not at school I love spending time with my kids.   I also enjoy being outdoors:  biking, skiing, running.
