Jesse Moyer Room 330
Hello, my name is Jesse Moyer. I have been teaching in Minneapolis since 1999. I am happy to be working at Burroughs teaching 5th grade. I have taught all grades from 2nd through 6th in all areas of the city. I began teaching at Anne Sullivan School and worked there for six years. I then spent one year teaching a 3-4 classroom at Barton. Next, I taught 5th grade at Burroughs, followed by a year of 5th grade at W. Harry Davis. Upon the closing of Davis, I taught 6th grade math and science at Lucy Laney, and another year of 5th grade as well. I came back to Burroughs for the 2009-10 school year as a 4th grade teacher. In 2015-16, I returned to teaching 5th grade.
I attended Augsburg College from 1994-1998, graduating with a bachelor's degree and an Elementary Education teaching license. I later attended St. Mary's University and completed my master's degree in Teaching and Learning in 2003. Along with teaching, I have also spent many years coaching sports at the high school and college levels. I have coached football, wrestling, and baseball. Currently I am coaching baseball at Washburn, as well as coaching my sons' hockey and baseball teams.
I live in Minneapolis with my wife Lara, our sons, William and Jack (who have both attended Burroughs), our Boxer Eddie, and our Bugg (Boston Terrier/Pugg) Bailey.
