Note From the Principal
?What a year it has been! I am filled with emotion as I write this last note of the school year and my last note as the Principal of Burroughs Community School. As you learned on Friday, I too will be moving on next year along with many others. This was a difficult decision for me, but I am very excited about the new opportunity. Although I will miss my work at Burroughs, I look forward to the new opportunities and challenges that this new position will offer.
In this last week of school, as we say good-bye to so many of our students, staff members, and friends, we wish everyone well as they continue on their life journeys whether it be on to a new school or, for some of our staff, on to retirement. In addition to saying good-bye, we will look forward to welcoming new families and a few new staff members. I am confident that through these transitions we will all discover new and exciting opportunities to learn and grow.
It has been a pleasure to serve the Burroughs community over the past six years. Thank you for your support and partnership throughout my time. I will miss seeing the smiling faces of your children each day and I am happy to be living in the neighborhood, as I know that continue to see many students and families. Burroughs will always hold a special place in my heart.
I wish you all a safe and wonderful summer! As always, feel free to reach out with any questions that may arise. I can be reached by phone at 612-668-3298 or email me through the end of June.
