Emergency Drills - We will continue to conduct our required emergency drills throughout the remainder of the school year. These drills include lockdown drills, fire drills, and tornado drills.  Staff are notified of the drills in advance and are instructed to review the procedures with their students. For more information about Minneapolis Public Schools Emergency procedures, click here. You may also want to take a few minutes to discuss emergency procedures/drill with your children.

Drop-off Circle - The drop-off circle is for families of students in K-2 grades only. Do not park in the drop-off circle or in the designated handicap drop-off/pick-up area at any time. Stay off your phone while driving. Please drive slowly, pull all the way up, adults stay in the car, and students exit the car from the passenger side only. Safety is our number one priority at arrival and dismissal. In order to ensure safety for all of our students it is important that we work together to follow these guidelines. For more information about drop off and pick up policies, click here.

Recess Attire and Weather Procedures - Students are provided a 30-minute recess or activity period daily. Most days, students are sent outside. If the wind-chill temperature is below zero, or if the weather is inclement, students may remain indoors for this recess. Dress your child appropriately to be outdoors everyday (hat, gloves, coat, snow pants, etc.).

Weather Related School Closings - Please review the MPS procedures for school closings due to inclement weather.
