Joke of the Week

Principal Bartl will be adding a joke of the week to my Monday morning announcements and is in need of good material. If your child has a joke that they would like to share, please email her with the joke and your child's name. She will randomly choose one joke a week to feature in the Monday morning message.

Become a Member of the Burroughs Site Council

The Burroughs Site Council is looking to recruit four new members, three voting members, and one alternate for the upcoming 2020-21 school year.  It's a great way to be involved in your child's school.  Please use this link to learn more about Site Council and how to become a member.

2020-21 Classroom Placement

We are working out details for classroom placements for next school year.  Given the circumstances, we will not be sending out the 'student information form' that we have in the past.  If there is information about your child that you feel is important for us to know when determining classroom placement, please reach out to your child's teacher or to Principal Bartl to share that information.  We DO NOT accept requests for specific teachers.  Our goal with classroom placement is to create classroom groupings that are balanced and will support the social-emotional and academic needs of all students.

Comprehensive District Design

On May 12, the MPS School Board voted to move forward with the Comprehensive District Design (CDD), which includes a boundary change that will impact the Burroughs Community.  Agenda minutes for the MPS School Board meeting are posted.
