Tuesday, December 4, 2018 10:30 AM

Mrs. Lasser has been a teacher at Burroughs for 17 years. She is originally from New York and, although she considers herself a midwesterner after living here for many years, she still has a touch of that eastern accent. She taught four years in the Bronx right after receiving her Bachelor's Degree from Cornell University and her Master's degrees from New York University. Her first teaching job in Minnesota was at a school in North Minneapolis where she taught for sixteen years.
Mrs. Lasser is a National Board Certified teacher and was a semi-finalist for teacher of the year. Mrs. Lasser has three children and five grandchildren, all of them ten years old and younger. Her daughter, one son, and their families live in Minneapolis, and her oldest son lives in Santa Monica with his ten-year old child. When she is not in school, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She tries to exercise at least five times a week, whether it be at the gym or taking a long walk. She loves cuddling up with a fabulous book and also enjoys baking and sharing her treats with others.
