Note from the Principal
Tuesday, March 20, 2018 12:00 PM

Dear Families,
We have an exciting week ahead with our annual Read-a-Thon closing ceremony on Friday. We are all anxiously awaiting the unveiling of the number of minutes our students read throughout the month of February. If you are able to join us for this fun and entertaining event, please do.
Over the next two weeks, we will be wrapping up the third quarter of the school year. Time flies! The final quarter of the school year will be full of engaging learning opportunities for students. In addition, this time of year brings our final round of testing. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will be taking the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs). Students in grades K, 1, and 2 will take the Spring FAST. More information about these assessments and the spring testing calendar will be communicated in the weeks to come.
The fourth quarter of the year also brings about planning for the next school year. With the budget in place, we will begin planning for programming that aligns to our district priorities:
1) Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
2) Equity
3) Social Emotional Learning
4) Literacy
I will share our budget decisions on March 27 at our Site Council and PTA meetings. Thank you to all who provided input throughout the budgeting process.
