Note from the Principal

Dear Families,
Last week ended with a staff appreciation breakfast hosted by our PTA. It was a lovely opportunity for staff to celebrate the end of another school year and be acknowledged for all the hard work they do to create a school where our students feel welcomed, safe, and valued for who they are and what they bring to our learning community. Thank you again to our PTA for the endless support you provide us!
I'd also like to thank the PTA Landscape Committee for organizing our annual Spring Campus Clean Up last Friday. It was a beautiful day for students and staff to get outside and work together to help keep our grounds and campus looking great. Thank you to all who came out for the morning to support this event!

We are winding down the school year quickly. Spring testing is over, and our final concert of our spring concert season takes place this evening at the Ordway. Our fifth graders will be performing in Cantare. If you were at the fifth-grade concert last Thursday, you had a sneak peek of what tonight's performance will hold. I will say that this group of students are truly talented vocalists who, with the guidance of Mr. Carrick, Mr. Hensley, and Ms. Jimena Contreves Cortes, have worked hard all year to prepare for tonight's event. Their preparation also included rich learning about Mexico and Mexican culture. We were very lucky to have been a part of this residency. I hope to see many families at the Ordway to enjoy another evening of beautiful music.

As always, feel free to reach out to me with any questions that may arise.
