Note from the Principal
Tuesday, February 26, 2019 9:55 AM

Dear Families,

Here we are in the last week of February and I, along with many families, staff and maybe even students, are hoping for an uninterrupted five day school week!

This last week of February will close out our 2019 Read-a-Thon. Hopefully all of the days off from school allowed children more time than normal to rack up reading minutes. I look forward to finding out if the goal of 2 million reading minutes was met. Thank you to all who support the Read-a-Thon tradition at Burroughs! Whether you helped to coordinate an event, volunteered to be a guest reader, or encouraged your child(ren) to read, your contributions are what make this annual event an event that students enthusiastically anticipate every year.

March will bring the Read-a-Thon Closing Ceremony, Read-a-Thon celebrations and the end of the third quarter of this school year. Here's to hoping that all of the severe winter weather has run its course so that we will not have any further interruptions.

Please make sure to check out the announcements and important dates below. As always, feel free to reach out to me with any questions that may arise.

Sincerely,
Ana Bartl
Principal
