Note from the Principal

Dear Families,

Happy Spring!  Last week's Read-a-Thon closing ceremony was a highlight of the week.  It was great to see so many families and hear the enthusiasm of the students when the number of minutes read was unveiled.  Wow, as a school we read 2,256,869 minutes and raised more than $90,000!  The 2019 Burroughs Read-a-Thon was again a successful community building and fundraising event!  Thank you to all!  The week ahead brings more excitement as classrooms celebrate their reading accomplishments.

The year is flying by!  Between Read-a-Thon celebrations and the anticipation of spring break, student energy has been high.  We will all benefit from the upcoming break and my hope is that we come back on April 8, ready to end the school year strong.

I wish you all a safe and enjoyable spring break!  Look for my next note on April 9.
Please make sure to check out the announcements and important dates below.  As always, feel free to reach out to me with any questions that may arise.

Sincerely,
Ana Bartl
Principal
