Note from the Principal
Tuesday, April 30, 2019 10:35 AM

Dear families,
I can hardly believe tomorrow is May! We will close out April with many wonderful community events including the band and orchestra concert, the spring book fair, and the all-school picnic. I look forward to seeing many of you at these events throughout the week!

Last week our Strategic Planning Committee met for the second time. This committee is working with input provided by families and students during last year's visioning sessions to develop a vision and refine the mission for our school. At last week's meeting, I asked each committee member to share one word that comes to mind when they think of Burroughs. The words shared were: community, busy, excellence, friendships, diverse opportunities, big, and excitement. Burroughs is all of these things and much more. It is my hope that through this process we will continue to build on our strengths and be the school that students and families are excited to be a part of because they feel connected, safe, engaged, and challenged throughout their K-5 experience. Stay tuned for more updates about the visioning and strategic planning process.

As always, feel free to reach out to me with any questions that may arise, and I look forward to seeing many families in the coming weeks.
Sincerely,
Ana Bartl
Principal
