Note from the Principal

Dear Families,

We wrapped up the 1st Quarter of the school year last Thursday and the classrooms were abuzz with celebrations.  It was fun to see so many parents, grandparents, and other caregivers in the building to support our teachers and students in making the day a fun and memorable day for our students.  Thank you!  Also, thank you to all who braved the cold and joined our Landscape Committee on Saturday to prepare our grounds for the winter.  Because of you our campus looks amazing all year round.

As we launch into the 2nd Quarter of the school year we will work to continue the enthusiasm and build on the relationships that have been established to leverage and enrich student learning throughout the rest of the school year.  We have a busy week ahead as our 2019-20 school tour season begins on Wednesday, we have our second Coffee with the Principal on Friday afternoon, and our annual 'Fall for Burroughs' Auction fundraiser on Friday evening.

We hope to see many families on Friday at the American Swedish Institute for the auction.  This event is not only an important fundraiser to support our school but also a wonderful opportunity for our adult community to get to know one another and socialize for a great cause that directly supports the students of Burroughs.

Remember, 1st Quarter report cards will be sent home with students the week of November 18. Once you receive report cards, please reach out to your child's teacher if you have questions.

Have a wonderful week and please feel free to reach out with any questions that may arise.

Sincerely,

Ana Bartl
