Recycle Crayons and Markers For A Good Cause!
Tuesday, June 4, 2019 9:40 AM

Old, worn-down crayons or dried out markers weighing your student down? Donate them at Burroughs for a good cause! Through two unique programs, we are able to keep unwanted crayons and unusable markers from the classroom out of the landfill.

The Crayon Initiative is a unique charitable organization that recycles crayons and distributes them to children's hospitals. Crayola ColorCycle is a sustainability initiative designed to re-purpose all brands of plastic markers.
Collection bins will be placed in grade-level classroom wings and in the atrium during the last week of school. If you don't need the extra crayons and markers to come home with your student at year's end, please ask your student to donate them. Questions? Email Abby Hougan
